With one decision, Alabama head coach Avery Johnson suddenly has his best recruiting class ever.
Southern Stampede super-scorer Collin Sexton (ESPN No. 10), who put up an record 31.7 points per game in the 2016 NIKE EYBL, decided to commit to the first school to extend an offer to him. Sexton chose Alabama over Kansas, Georgia Tech and NC State.
Sexton absolutely blew up over the summer, proving to be one of the most prolific and efficient scorers in the country. His aggressive style of play led to him attempting 100 free throws more than the next closest competitor.
Sexton is the fourth member of the Southern Stampede to commit in the 2017 class, joining teammates Al Durham Jr. (Indiana), TJ Massenburg (Middle Tennessee State) and Zach Cooks (NJIT).
Alabama may get another huge boost in their 2017 class, as Team Penny scorer John Petty Jr. is set to decide between the Crimson Tide and Kentucky.
