NIKE EYBL Atlanta Best Game: Drinnon, Stampede hand MOKAN first loss of 2017

By D1 Circuit Staff, 05/16/17, 5:45PM EDT

After nearly four quarters of a defensive struggle, the Southern Stampede trailed No. 1 MOKAN Elite 53-50.

With 2.7 seconds remaining, Stampede newbie Drue Drinnon caught a sideline inbounds pass, made a move left and rose over his defender - launching a three from 25-feet out.

The rest included something you rarely see with the game on the line - a four-point play.

Drinnon got a whistle, and knocked down the freebie with zero seconds on the clock. Drinnon had a spectacular weekend for the Stampede, averaging 16.5 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.5 APG, 1.0 SPG in four games. He also hit two free throws with no time left on the clock to lift the Stampede over CIA Bounce.
